Roman J. Schauble was born in 1919, the son of Catherine Caecelia Schardt, who was the daughter of Mary Ann Bell and Peter Schardt. A World War II Army veteran, he earned his bachelor and masters degree at Marquette University and his PhD at UW-Madison. Roman was an English Professor at UW-Parkside. He died at age 88 on February 6, 2008.

Schauble, Roman J., PhD Professor Emeritus. Born to Eternal Life February 6, 2008, at the age of 88 years. Preceded in death by his siblings; Joseph (the late Regina) Schauble, Virginia (the late Gerald) Kasseckert, and Norbert (Connie) Schauble. Dear uncle of Mary (Gary) Schumann, Katherine (William) Truog, Nancy (Fred) Cramer, Sue Kasseckert, Barbara (Peter) Harren, Mary (the late Cardell) Willis, Joanne (the late ‘Windy”) Windham, John (Chris) Schauble and Virginia Schauble. Further survived by many other relatives and numerous friends. Roman was a World War II Army Veteran. He earned his bachelor and masters degree at Marquette University and his PhD at UW-Madison. Roman was an English Professor at UW-Parkside. He was a longtime member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. Visitation Tuesday, February 12 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 12801 W.
